"The serene garden and the peaceful fountain make magic at the SUN & EARTH, an outdoor temple, offering natural and vegetarian cuisine. Scott's hi-protein goulash with rice, beans, soy protein, cheese in a thick soup sauce served with salad greens. Also recommended is a bowl of steamed vegetables, with a choice of cheese, tahini, or cashews sprinkled over the top; or the brown rice with raw carrots and sunflower seeds. Vege-taco, with the "South of the Border" flavor, and the enchilada dinner is also good. They make terrific salads; rice-nut, fruit-nut with tahini and yogurt. A real "trip" is the San Grande Sandwich, with avocado, cheese, egg salad, sprouts, and sunflower seeds served on a torpedo roll. They have delightful sweet breads and fresh pies, and of course, herb teas and juices."
